Frequently Asked Questions

thumbnail_IMG_6005Happy,  healthy families are my passion. I love working with women because when women are the energized and strong everyone benefits. You want to help your family thrive? Start with yourself.

FAQ #1.  Do you work with teenagers? Can you work with my daughter?
Yes! If she is under 18, I’d like for you to accompany her to our meetings (or be in the call).  When adolescents understand the role of the food they eat in how they feel and look, they usually (willingly) make better choices for themselves. Good dietary and lifestyle habits are a great advantage to have early on. Even mood disorders like mild anxiety and depression, which have become common amongst our teens, can be improved by dietary and lifestyle modifications.
I love to work with motivated adolescents, they respond beautifully and quickly.

FAQ #2. Are you a Registered Dietitian (RD)?  I’m not a Registered Dietitian.  I have a Master’s Degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology and have experience as a Nutrition Counselor & Educator.  I have  additional  training in Functional Nutrition and do a lot of research and continuing education in Nutrition, Health & Wellness.

FAQ #3.  Is this expensive? Are your services covered by insurance?
Fees are very reasonable and are not covered by insurance. If you are not feeling well this will probably be the best investment you can make.  I offer two packages:  A Basic Wellness Package, for those who want to learn the basics of foods + nutrition (meal planning, food purchasing, eating healthy, GMOs, organic, gluten-free, etc..),  and the Foundations of Health Package, which I tailor for each client allowing us to work on specific health goals and issues such as gut healing, inflammation, healthy lifestyle practices, detoxification, etc.

FAQ #4. Isn’t this all common sense?  Don’t people just need willpower to make changes? It’s so much more than willpower and common sense! I can guide you as to what issues to tackle first (this is critical!), give you specific tips on incorporating changes into your daily life, teach you everything you need to know to understand your symptoms and support your body nutritionally, work on your mindset,  help you sort through the massive amounts of information available, and much more.  Keto, paleo, gluten-free, intermittent fasting, dairy-free, juice fasts and cleanses,…. not everything works for everyone, some might even be harmful.  A good Health & Wellness Coach will give you tools, motivation, education and a new, clear perspective. I feel blessed to be able to offer this to you. Keep in mind that, the longer you wait to take action, the more complex your issues will become .
